IceWalkers (via taylor12k)
I stand neither in the wilderness
nor fairyland,
but in the fold
of a green hill,
the tilt from one parish
into another.
To look at me
through a smirr of rain
is to taste the iron
in your own blood;
because I bear
the common currency
of longing: each wish
each secret visitation.
My limbs…
Dazzling image of ash and lightning above the Eyjafjallajökull volcano in Iceland. The APOD site rules.

I fell for Redwoods pretty heavily after reading Richard Preston’s astonishing The Wild Trees. Indeed, since reading it I’ve got a near insatiable urge to spend a night 350ft up in a treeboat. This recording of a storm in a Redwood forest will have to do for now. Click the link above to access the recording - and spend some time at the Closet of Curiosities blog, there’s some ace stuff on there.
